THis is what I get when I boot up. I moved the machine
and thought I may have not a connection loose. I open box
and pushed in (gently) each connection. Didn;t work. I
ran the diagnostic disk from Dell to test Hard Drive and
when it gets to disk 3 it fails whith message no media. I
put in a Cd when asked. I don't know?? Is it time to junk
it.

Typically the message you are getting is related to harddrive problem or
that the system files (operating system files) cannot be found.

The problem with the third disk could be related to the floppy disk as well
as the floppy drive (assuming your using the floppy to load the disks).

It is not time to junk the computer because of above - it might be time for
other reasons. (old -slow out of date etc)

I would try the following (and in this order)
1. Check the disk that fails in another computer (just check it).
2. Go to the dell support site and see what they have there
3. Open the case and check the harddrive. Find out who made it. Then go to
the manufacturers web site and download their utility for checking the
drive. Run it.
4. Boot an emergency rescue disk in the A: drive and at the prompt type Sys
C:

Try rebooting

check your BIOS ...an older computer (with a bad battery) once unplugged
(moved :> ) may not recognise your HD is there...

see if it has an "auto detect IDE drive" or similar
