I found in properties that for security reasons windows diabled remote access.
In properties it says to send things to print to the usb port.
In device manager it only shows 2 ports (comm1 - lpt1)
Not sure what happened but keep getting error message to make sure cable is
connected to printer. Help Please!!

Well how /does/ your printer connect to the computer? USB, parallel,
FireWire, what? Have you attempted to uninstall and reinstall the unit? If
not, follow the instructions here
If that doesn't help (and your printer is USB) are the USB ports detected in
the Device Manager? If they're listed, but they have a yellow circle with a
black ! what's the error code? Have you tried removing the ports and letting
Windows redetect them? Have you tried downloading the latest chipset driver
for your system or motherboard? In fact, have you tried anything at all?
