I'm looking into building a custom computer. With my research and deciding which processors and mother boards to purchase with regards to price I am leaning towards the Pentium D 820 and the Asus P5LD2 Delux motherboard.

Any thoughts from anyone who knows about building a computer from scratch with regards to this combo? My main use for this computer will be downloading video from my camcorder via firewire and burning DVD's for home movies.

Thanks for your help.

The 820's are the best value/performance dual core available.

True but you wont like your power bill. I also heard the 820 has problems with NVidia chipsets.
