Epson - forcing a cartridge change

Hi folks,

Does anyone know how to force an Epson inkjet (C62) to offer the
cartridges for changing even though there's still ink in the cartridge?

I know I can do it by starting a clean cycle and then pulling the plug
at the appropriate moment but the status monitor then doesn't recognise
the correct amount of ink in the new cartridge - whether it be full or
partially used.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

On page 31 of your owners manual it tells you how to replace the cartridge.
You hit the ink cartridge button. If you don't have the owners manual
anymore you can download it from the Epson website under drivers and support
on the left hand side. www.epson.com Go to printers, then select your
printer. Then look under printer basics.

If you still have the manual, (and if not it's available on Epson's
website) there should be a section called something like "how to replace
an expired cartridge". Usually, there is a set of buttons you need to
press on the front of the printer, but it may be in software as a part
of the utilities in new models.
