hello,

is it possible to have a DSL modem each for 2 PCs, each connecting to a separate phone jack, but sharing the same telephone line?

Can they access internet simultaneously?

No, you cant have that particular set up.

You could have two seperate computers, with two modems, plugged into two different phone lines. But if they're on the same phone line they'll simply confuse each other.

As Crazywheels said, if you buy a router then this plugs into your phone line, and thene ach of your computers plu ginto the router. This gives you the advantage of giving you a home network (also wireless if you buy a wireless router) and most routers have a built-in firewall of some sort.

An easy to use router can be found (for the UK) here although its a good idea to update the firmware on that model if you do decide to buy it. That can be done formt he support section of the Netgear website.
