It installed here on Win95B with no problem. However, some people are reporting
difficulty getting the installer to finish on any version of Win95.

i tried to install over the old version and the new installer said it
was checking for previous installed components then it quit.

It appears to be a bit of a hit and miss proposition. Some people
have been able to install and use it with Windows 95, others have not.
It may help if you have both the DUN 1.4 and the Winsock2 updates from
Microsoft installed, but no guarantee.
Good luck

Yes, apparently that's what happens on those systems that have trouble....the
installer just quits. See Ron Martell's reply in this thread.

Faster maybe but not better.
I did a test with a machine a couple of weeks ago.
Cleaned it with a fully updated 6.181. Then ran Spybot S&D (got a
few more items), rebooted the machine and ran 6.181 again. Found 1
more cookie on the second pass.
Then I immediately downloads SE 1.05, installed, updated, and ran it.
Found 169 additional items including 1 running process and 1 running
process module.
