As of this morning I can't get JAVA app. to work.
I worked Sat. with a JAVA program I use.
Nothing relating to JAVA works. Even at the
SUN JAVA site, screens don't come up.
I'm using Win95. IE 5.5 SP2.
Have JAVA ver. 1.4.2-04 and just downloaded
the earlier version 1.3, still not working.
I'm getting no response when I call for anything JAVA.

Can someone help with a suggestion/s, please ?

Sun does not recommend using ver. 1.4 on win95....

try uninstall all versions and try reinstall of 1.3

I know, but was using it until yesterday.
Do you know of any site where I can get help
with this Java problem.
As of today, I can't even bring up a JAVA page.
Exp: Scottrade JAVA app.
It starts loading and then the window disappears ????

I downloaded the 1.3 ver. of Java this morning and still
no change. Do I have to uninstall all other Java apps. before it works ?

I am unsure if the older version will overwrite the existing files ...it
would be better to remove all the existing files and reinstall to aviod
conflicts
(IMO) :>

and as Kay mentioned ...check "security" settings for your browser
