I am going to buy a motherboard , graphic(s) card(s),a CPU ,and a sound card and a psu to build my new system and I want to spend 1800 dollars what do you reccomend?

I am thinking for motherboard the DFI LANPARTY UT Nforce 4 SLI-DR Expert S939 it costs $220,for graphics card I am thinking to buy the Point Of View 7800 GTX 512mb $750 for CPU I think the Athlon X2 would be the best choice for $470 and for PSU the OCZ Powerstream 520w SLI ready for $140 all together cost $1580 and I will maybe buy an xi-fi sound card but I don't know which one . What do you think tell me some recomentations

Yes, but in the future when the 7800 GTx 512mb will have a lower price I could just put a second and SLI the but you will say that I could do the same thing with ATI 1900 xtx but for now there aren't any good crossfire mobos that's why I am buying an SLI board

"Point Of View 7800 GTX 512mb $750 "

That price is insane, compared to a 1900XT for $540-ish....

Yes, prices might fall later on GTX512s, or, like the 6800 Ultra, they might stay very high for two years until faster single cards cost even less..

But, if you are determned to spend $1500 on SLI just for a pair of cards, the GTX512's are good performers, just not worth $1000 more over a single 1900XT...

Check out the review at www.firingsquad.com where they compare single 1900XT/XTX vs SLI/Crossfire combos; the high res performance of a single 1900XT is quite formidable, especially with aa/af....
