I was wondering if anyone had a webcam with the ability to set the camera up as a room monitor. I had seen on some tech show(can't remember now, that's the problem) that the guy had on his desktop an image of what the camera was watching and then could select an area of that image and set it to perform an event if movement was detected in that area. Maybe this is just a third party software that he used. Does anyone know about this, please post.

I think it's the software. I've tried Logitech's Traveller Cam or something like that (forgot exact name) and their software seems to offer something like that. Never actually tried it though.
