I have a Windows 95 CD that came with a computer that no longer works. That
computer came with Win 95 pre-intalled, and with a Win 95 CD that is labeled
"For distribution only with a new PC."
I want to install that W95 onto a second-hand laptop computer I purchased.
The laptop computer does not have an operating system on the hard drive, nor
does it have a CD drive.
I'd like to use my main desktop system (which has Windows 98 installed on
it), to make a Win 95 bootable 3.5" floppy disk from the Win 95 CD disk, so I
can boot the laptop. But when I use the "Startup Disk" "Create" the computer
only gives me the option of creating a startup disk from the Windows 98 that
is on my main computer.
How can I use my Win 98 desktop to create a bootable 3.5" Win 95 floppy from
my Win 95 CD?
Once the laptop is booted with Win 95, how can I install the Win 95 os from
the CD onto the laptop that has a 3.5" floppy, but no CD drive. Is there a
way to make 3.5" floppies from the Win 95 CD?
