How can one distinguish between the Win95 Gold (pre-A) only, the Win95C
(OSR2.5) only, and the Windows 95 both versions updates on the Microsoft
Windows 98 corporate and regular support pages?

The Microsoft Windows 98 corporate and regular support pages are for Win98 and
Win98SE. There are no updates there for any version of Win95. Win95 Updates are
here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows95/downloads/default.asp

If you click the links there for the various updates, the info listed should tell
you what version of Win95 it is for.
