does the zalman 9500 still perform well when the fan is set to low rpm ( 18db loud ) or does it need to be cranked up all the time to keep the cpu cool?

does anyone have it constantly running in silent mode and have had no problems so far?

Dunno, i keep mine at ~2600rpms max, because I did a 10% OC on my processor, but I dont see why it wouldn't work well at lower speeds if you run on stock settings.

I don't have one but I was looking at getting one if I ever get a new rig! It comes with the fan controller so if you're into it I recon you could just keep it low during normal tasks and then crank it for games and such?
