I've been having some problems running some games that came out around 2001. They will not load up and Windows says that it encountered an error and has to close them before they boot. I thought maybe it was my video card at first but I swaped it out for an older geforce and it did the same so i'm thinking it maybe directx 9c.

Now I really don't want to uninstall directx so I can install an older version cause I hear windows can get screwed up sometimes if you uninstall. So maybe someone here can help. If you have DX 9c installed and have any of these four games can you tell me if they work on your system? They are.. Undying, Alice, Warcraft 3, and No One Lives Forever 1.

Appreciate it
Thanks

I think it's just a winXP problem. I have played WC3 and NOLF on my PC (as well as many other older games). But only use 98se or win2k pro. Never had a problem
