I didnt really look over the list becuase compatability issues really arent a factor anymore. Yes you may have some people that have them, but over all practically all components will work with each other.

next go with sata II drives much faster. and i would go with a venice core not a sandiego.
next get rid of the asus motherboard and switch to a dfi lanparty nf4 sli-dr

i would also make sure that is the mouse that you want because i would go to a store and check out if you really like that mouse. i personally like the mx-310

How is a Venice 3700+ (Does it even exist?) core better than a San Diego?

Also, WHY would he need a Sli motherboard when he's not playing on using 2 gfx cards? It'd be a waste of money.
