Lexmark cartridges

Hi,

my flatmate bought a Lexmark All-in-one X1180 printer. I will be using
it too for college (ie heavy use).

-What is the approx. no. of b/w text pages it can print on one
cartridge?
-is there any available cheaper refill or generic cartridge?

Is it worth sharing it at all, or should I get my own from another
brand with cheaper refills?
