I have auto update turned on. Lunch-time Friday 20 August I was prompted to
download SP2. Clicked OK. Box disapeared. Still no sign of SP 2! I don't
think it has even started to download.

How long does this take?

does the windows auto update icon still appears in the task bar? If yes, you
can re-try by right click.

Another user posted some recommendations in this message:

It recommends that:
Right click My Computer
Click Properties
Click Automatic Update tab
Select "Automatic Recommended"
Click OK and follow prompts

To verify if automatic updates is configured correctly, you have two options:
a) Follow the instructions provided here:

b) Let Website do it for you:
