Hey,

I was thinking about getting another hard drive to setup for RAID 0, but I have a few questions.

Right now I have a Western Digital 250GB 16MB Cache SATAII "WD2500KS" Hard Drive. I plan to buy another one from newegg, but do they have to be the same EXACT hard drive? I bought my first one around August, but I'm almost sure something will be a little different in the hard drives. I game quite a bit (Call of Duty 2, Battlefield 2, F.E.A.R. S.W.A.T. 4, etc...) would I see a noticeable improvement in loading times?

AMD Athlon 3700+ San Diego Core
DFI LanPart UT nF4 Ultra-D
1GB (2x512) Mushkin Redline XP4000 DDR500
Western Digital 250GB 16MB Cache SATAII HDD
ATI Radeon X850XT PE
Tagan 480W "TG-480-U22" PSU

just get another one with same size and cache should be fine. And same brand if possible. So get a 250GB 16MB cache SATAII and hook it up, if running raid 0 then maybe u need to reinstall everything. I've never tried doing it this way. The reading and writing time is spread across 2 different drives so it should be a bit faster, but I don't know if you'll notice any improvement. Since SATAII drive with 16MB cache is a lot already.
