Hello-

My CPU fan is only about 1600 RPM

It is stock fan and heatsink that came with my 4200 X2 processor.

When I booted today I got a warning indicator.

IS this slow? Why is my CPU fan so slow?

I need to fix this problem. Is there a better heatsink and fan I should upgrade to?

My CPU is 41C or 105F temp. Is this good or bad?

41C is fine, it might be that your CPU heatsink/fan ups the RPMs when the CPU is stressed and then slow back down in idle processes. I wouldnt worry about it much. Worry when you see smoke coming from your computer

That is what I am afraid of.... smoke.

WHen i booted up my mobo beeped and warned the CPU fan was not working. It sped up a a little.

but the RPM seems to be slow always...

I figured it out.

My mobo has a program that monitors the speed of the fans and the temp of the processor. The minimum was 600 rpm...

The fan only spins as fast as it needs.....

Keeps it quiet. Nice feature.

I FEEL DUMB NOW
