i just overclocked my p4 3.00 ghz to 3.2 and every thing seemed fine for a while. than after i restarted it after a few hours the computer seemed to glitch alot. i put it back to 3.0 but still things seemed lagy. another wierd thing is that in the windows task manager , under proformance the cpu proformance will nver go under 50%

well anyone to oc their 6800 to 500 mhz with stock cooing very well could have caused damage. I cant even smoke my tea because I oced my papers too much.

Geez dont you know anything? unlock the other four cores that are disabled on your cpu and overclock it then on some decent cooling and then you can go suck a fat one.

You can aparently unlock pipelines that aint there and overclock your 6800 (if you even have one) to 500mhz, but you cant overclock the most overclockable cpus in the world - the P4's, an extra 200mhz, even my old celeron 1700 wilamette 180nm clocked to 1900mhz, before i ditched it a month later.

Total BS

the only thing you overclock is your BS

even if you do own a 6800 and overclocked it to 500mhz it cant make up for a underpower'd cpu.

i thinks his brains missing a few pipelines

I agree wif gomerpile - get a new username and dont bs like that again.

Piff 200mhz on a P4? yesterday i got my "suicidal socket seven" (the system i push to the limits cause i dont care if it dies or the cpus etc) system (gigabyte GA-5AA) to push a Cyrix (IBM taged model) MII PR333GP (250/83, 2.9v) to overclock a whole 100mhz more to 350mhz (350/100, 3.2v) and managed to benchmark it in super pi!!!!!!!!!!!
