What should i get a XFX 6600 GT or BFG 6800 GS OC AGP

I have been looking for a replacement for my crapy ass MX 440 and i was think of geting a xfx 6600 GT http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6814150096
but i been told to get a 6800 instead because in the future it is the minimum system requirements. I dont know if this is true or not. But i dont want to spend 200 dollars on a new graphic card and have it out of date. So would a BFG 6800 GS OC

BFG 6800 GS OC is about the best choice for a cheap/quality card in the world. Go get one, NOW!!!

now the 7800gs will blow all those cards away which hits stoes next week, but... it will cost a penny its apg. the 6800gs will do for a low budget card.

btw BFG has released the 7800gs oc model. Others will be XFX ASus

whats your current system specs anyhow? if you have like a celeron 2ghz not much point spending big on a fast video card for a slow machine.

a 6600GT is many times faster and runs games like Battlefield2 on high, and there not even mid range now!

People have gotten the 7800 GS AGP at CompUSA already and they're due out in BestBuys on Sunday. Monday should see the e-tailer launch (which is almost always cheaper.)

Well if you can hold off a month I'm sure you'll be able to get a 7800 GS AGP for around $250 or so.

For the record, AnandTech reports that the eVGA card currently being sold (as of 2/1/05 at CompUSA) is clocked higher than the BFG OC card.

6800 GS is the better card.
