Double the bandwidth interface speed, 150 vs 300.

NO CHANGE TO DRIVE TRANSFER SPEED or Access times.

There is not a drive on the market that even uses the bandwidth of a ATA100.

Bottom line NO ADVANTAGE

also better NCQ support.

But home/office users may actually benefit from disabling NCQ resulting in a performance increase, since NCQ is better suited for server environments.

If cost is about the same, I would get SATAII simply for the newer tech, future proof, and the new drives are the newest drive revisions out there, so why not?

I've been trying to figure out which external HDD interface configuration is the fastest. Would you explain how through put of SATA II (300MB/s) FireWire 1394b (800Mbs) connected to a PC has the same through put as 1394a and ATA Ultra interface connected to a PC?
