hi all,
One of the Rep told me that the reason of V600's discontinued on
Cingular is FIRMWARE UPGRADE, anyone know about this? and what is the
latest firmware version on Cingular's V600 now? Please advice. Thanks

Per the discussion on HoFo, there was a minor "performance issue" on the
GSM 850 band on a few phones out of one shipment of Cingular-branded
V600's. Cingular and Motorola could not agree on terms of addressing this
(firmware update, recall, replacement, etc) so Cingular simply decided to
stop carrying the model altogether. Talk about throwing the baby out with
the bathwater....

Not necessarily -- the V600 wasn't a big seller, and was soon to be replaced
in any event.

THE REASON V600 WHERE PULLED FROM CINGULAR WAS DUE TO ISSUE WITH PHONE IS
FOR THE INTERFERING WITH POLICE RADIO IF YOU ARE STILL HAVING PROBLEM
CONTACT MOTOROLA FOR HELP.
