SATA-150 / SATA-300 Compatibility Tags: Hard Drives SATA Controller Compatibility Storage Product Last response: February 4, 2006 12:04 AM in Storage Share ChrisLudwig February 3, 2006 11:39:17 PM Are the two forms for SATA completely compatible with each other? For instance can I plug SATA300 drives into a SATA150 RAID controller or plug SATA150 drives in to a 300 controller? I understand that the drives would not increase in speed, but since there about the same price I figured I could buy the SATA300 drives for now and upgrade the controller later. Thanks.
