Hello,

I have a Mio 168 pocket PC. I installed Tomtom Navigator 3 software
and bought a storage card for additional Maps Of Western Europe
(Secure SD, 1 GB).
1) When I install the maps via ActiveSync often comes an error message
"disk access problem" on my PC. This happens even when I don't install
from CD but copy the contents to hard disk and install from there.
This happens before the installation is completed. Then the country is
shown as installed but can't be removed via the pocket PC (settings -
remove programs) even after a soft reset. I erased the unfinished
installation folder on the storage card via ActiveSync on my PC. Can
anybody give me a tip to solve these problems?
2) When I start the installation of a country from "Maps Of Western
Europe" the installatin program shows the amount of space not used on
the SD card. But it doesn't show the correct amount. For example I
have deleted all folders and the only file (ignore_my_docs) on the
storage card. But it doesn't indicate 1 GB of free space but a very
much lower value (641 MB). How can I erase the SD card so that this
problem is solved? Or is this not an issue?
Thank you very much!

I have had these problems . . .

Now I am using following tactic:

Format card in handheld.
Copy contents of workable card without the map(s) on to the new card through
pc.
Install wanted map(s) from the CD to the hard disk of the pc and drag the
map folder to the new card.

This works for me. Besides I believe it is the fastest way of installing a
new card.
