I want to oc. a little my P4/630 and before doing this i have to buy another cooler.I am thinking at Arctic Cooling Freezer7pro ( http://www.arctic-cooling.com/cpu2.php?idx=79&disc= )
Any sugestion for this cooler or a better one(i want air cooling)
I want to reach 3200/3400
And if my FSB is 800, i could go a little higher like 850/900? MB could be damage from this higher FSB?

you can reach 3.8-4GHz even with a box cooler,so if you want onli 3200-3400 you don't have to buy a new cooler.

Yeah if you want your temps to be 70*C. Dont get me wrong, I love Intel chips, but their cooling dept really leaves something to be desired.

Whether your looking to overclock or not, getting an aftermarket Heatsink/Fan combo will give you better performance hands down. Now when you do plan on overclocking, the added current in turn causes more heat, which needs to be dealth with accordingly. Dont let anyone tell you, that you can overclock anymore then 20% on an Stock Intel HSF, your chip will have a life of about 3 days. ;-)

If you have fifty extra bucks do your self a huge favor and go buy either a thermaltake Big Typhoon, or a zalman 9500. Both are amazing.

I don't think that he should buy a new cooler for 3200-3400,but if decided to do it thermaltake big typhoon is a good choise like KyleAwesome says, other good coolers are TT SonicTower,Thermlight XP-120,CM Hyper6+,Zalman Cnps 9500, But the best which I can recomend you is Scythe Ninja

I have a P4 640

I use a Arctic Freezer 7

My temps are between 32C to 38C idle depending on ambiant.

Works fine for me just remember to add case fans. One inlet in the front and one outlet at the back. I have added a 80mm fan to the side cover to cool the mobo.

I o/c mine to 3.60 and temps in low 40's load with this setup.

Antec Sonata case.

dragosgorjan, you obviously don't know much about computers or coolers. Look - if you try to overclock and you have NO IDEA WHAT YOU'RE DOING then there will be a high chance of damaging your hardware. Trust me, I have had years of experience, including many fried chips and toasted motherboards. Please for your own sake go buy a mac or something

WOW!!Is you the father of IT?!I have an advice, try your opinions just in your room(it is safe)
Let me guess your knowledge has reach the maximum level.
If you have something to say(clever, wise)good,if you can share your experience good, but if you come with this crap answer...try another topic.
If you are stupid enough(i'am just thinking) you will answer to this topic with another crap.

I have that arctic freezer pro 7, and a P4 640 3.2ghz (Prescott).

My idle temps are between 30 and 35c, depending on room temp.

Under a load (like playing f.e.a.r. for hours, or unprotecting hours of protected wma's), it never goes above 50c.

I even overclocked it to 3.6 and got the exact same temps. Do yourself a favor and get one. You don't even have to remove the motherboard. I also just used the thermal compound it came with.
