I'm going to build a dual monitor rig for online stock trading. I'm not a gamer. I've tenatively decided on the following parts:

AMD 64 X2 3800 cpu

ASUS AN85X mobo

Cooler Master Centurion, no PS

Cooler Master RS 450 ACLY or RS 450 ACLX, what's the diff besides price?

PNY Quadro NVS 280 or 285 vid card or Matrox Mil. P650. Mostly 2D cards or maybe an ATI Fire MV 2200

Seagate 160-250 SATA HD. What's a SATA? What's a Barracuda? No Maxtor?

What's good in optical drives? I don't know.

What's good and reasonable in RAM? At least 1 gig, maybe 2.

I'll probably go with Samsung 17 or 19" monitors if I'm feeling rich.

So, what do you guys think so far? What am I forgetting or don't know here? Thanks.

Thanks, there is also http://www.tradingcomputers.com/

Why INTC? It's short and mid term trend is still down? Know something I don't?

And AMD is still short, mid and long trending up.

Take a look at ARTG, ATML and AVII (and no, I don't just do "A" stocks.
