HELP: COMPAQ PRINTER:

Hi Anybody

Need help now.
Paper is coming out absolutely blank.
My printer was working fine till I just did not use it for a long time.
Should have ink in both black and colour cartridges. Have manually wiped
nozzles with tissue, not a smudge of ink on black but plenty of colour.
Along with being a Computer Dummy, the same applies to printers. Have tried
a test page but not the tinniest mark on paper. Have tried printing in all
colours. Zilch

I have clicked on so many different things I have no idea what anything was
set at originally.

DOS printing is "enabled"
does that sound correct, its the only thing ticked on that "DOS page"

"Close status at end of job"
"Enable sound effects"
Only two things ticked on "Status page"

Any help would be appreciated

P S Yes it is plugged in and turned on.
