I just spent a load of money on a laptop which is why i don't have much left. I'm planning to build a new PC for my parents/myself but i have a budget of around $600.

PC will mainly be used for surfing Internet and just general stuff like Word etc, but i also use Photoshop from time to time, also some gaming aswell (like CoD2).

I will need pretty much everything apart from monitor and OS.

So... any ideas ?

(BTW i'm upgrading from a P3 800, 256mb, GeForce 256 Dell :) )

OK so atm i'll get

AMD 3200 (i'll prob overclock it) ~ £120
PCI-E Mobo (any ideas on what type?) ~ £?
1GB Crucial Value RAM (can't find Patriot in UK) ~ £60
Thermaltake TR2 W0070 ATX 430W Power Supply ~ £30
WD800JD 80GB 7200 RPM Serial ATA150 Hard Drive ~ £35
COOLER MASTER Centurion 5 CAC-T05-UW ~£35

BTW forgot to mention that i already have keyboard/mouse/speakers

What graphics card options do i have ? (apart from 6800GS) I was thinking of maybe getting a 6800 and unlocking/overclocking it to a 6800GT. Can you do the same to X850 Pro's ?

Oh and also does anyone know any decent /cheap PC component shops that are in UK or ship to UK ?

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT think you can overclock PCI-EXPRESS 6800's to 6800gt levels. This is only possibly to unlock the 4 pipelines and 1 vertex shader on the AGP version only!!! Also I'd go with an amd 3000+ venice they are hellaz cheap right now and are really the same thing as the 3200 and since you won't run a 1:1 memory/htt ratio anyway it won't be any loss to go down a multiplier. 6600gt isn't bad, nor are some of the x800gto's/gto2's etc. but personally i would spring for the 6800gt/gs depending on what you can afford since the gt can pound a 6800ultra after overclocking and then some and the gs can about match a stock gt after oc'ing.
