Installed win 7 on a new drive. It won't 'recognize' the solo and therefore cannot connect to the net - any solutions or advice please?

More about : windows asus wifi solo

Mine installed OK after I uninstalled the Wifi AP software and went for standalone drivers for the adaptor.

Ok, terrific, thanks. Might be helpful if you described out to uninstall the wifi ap s/ware - I have installed win 7 on a new hardrive-nothing else on there.
Using vista to get online at present - and of course that works perfectly

Drivers:
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?...

to uninstall just click start and type appwiz.cpl and hunt down asus wifi ap or whatever it's called. This will uninstall the AP software and take the driver with it. just install the new driver.

In fact, can I check what mobo it is first. I had the P5K-E wifi AP, I assume they all came with the same adaptor...

I have Asus P5Q3 WiFi Deluxe and my wifi ap solo worked exelent with Vista. I have installed windows 7, and downloaded the new and slightly different wifi ap program directly from asus website, and i have a problem. My laptop receives the signal sent from my desctop pc, but I cannot conect to the internet. And also shows on my desctop pc at the internet conections, at my wireless signal : no internet acces. But I dont know how to change this. Could you please help me? Thanks!
