Hi, I'm pretty new here, but not so much to the computer scene, I have been out of it for awhile and wanting to get back in to it, but I'm kind of out of date with the new computer hardware out and was seeing if you guys could help me out, this will be the build, trying to stay about $800 or under, and will be used for mild gaming but I want it to be on max settings and just the usual.

Houston, we've got a problem...

First off, do you OC at all??? iF not, there's no need for the Lanparty. Gaming needs GPU 1st, CPU 2nd, and RAM third, HDD fourth.

For a non-OC rig:

7800GT $280 on sale right now
A64 3200+ $170
Corsair VS 2x512mb $85
Get a bigger drive for $100 or SATAII if you find a deal /or get two 80 gig and do RAID 0.....
Mobo-Asrock 939Dual-sataII-$70--other mobo less than $100 will also suffice

Downgrade that 500W to 400W or 430W-$50

If you don't mind, the Ultra UV wizard Mid-ATX is pretty good for less than $50. You can get the UV window/no window flavor.

Total:280+170+85+100+70+50+50=$805

Of course you can keep your one 80gig HDD and use that money to buy two case fans and a floppy drive.

i highly doubt youll stay under 800 with everything, 3700 is a great cpu you might want to go for a better harddrive although, 200GB for around 80 is a steal look on newegg. and i have that ram its very good ram 2-2-2-5 timings at 230Mhz on 2.85Vs

Looks nice, but 2 Gb of memory should be install. Because new games that are coming like Battle Field 2 and F.E.A.R. are huge and high-polygon counts and will continue to do so. There are many ram out there with good gaming performance for around $100 for 2Gb.
