My little brothers computer is quite old
the specs b4 i put in $100 were

AMD Athlon 1.33~ghz
256 MB pc2100 DDR SD ram
Radeon 7500 64mb
80 GB Hard drive (dont think its sata)

and and the specs after the tiny upgrade is

AMD Athlon 1.33~ghz
2 x 512 MB PC2700 DDR SD ram
Radeon 9550 256mb (clocked to 9600 pro speeds)
80 GB Hard drive (non-sata)

So i was thinking of putting another couple hundred and getting
Athlon 64 3200+ (939)
Asus a8n-e Mobo
Same Ram
Evga 6800 GS
and same hard drive

the power supply is at 400w as well and will probably be ruused

so do u think its worth to reincarnate this computer? or should i jsut get a new one

Ugrading to won't be good idea on that pc.

Building a new one is a lot better and the only thing you can save from the one would be the ram and drives. The hard drive is non-sata so I would recommend reusing it.

cpu=$180

mobo=$120

psu=$40-$80

graphics card=$200-$300

hard drive=$80-$150

You may spend a lot of money but it's better than your first option.

well my computer is new
and the only game my brother really plays are
Warcraft 3
Cs:source
Need for speed most wanted

so nothing too intense

but yes it kind of is pointless aving the case/psu/cd-drive/harddrive/ ram
as they are dirt cheap nowadays

In that case then get a better graphics card like the nvidia 6600 cards or faster or ATI x800 card or better. And 1 Gb (2x512mb) of ram to make a total of 2 Gb.

AGP card = $180-$300

1 Gb (2x512) ddr = $80-$150
