Did that laptop come with Vista?

If Sony did not sell that model with XP it may be difficult to impossible to install XP on it. All you can do is search for the missing driver on other laptops with similar hardware. For example, when I changed my daughter's HP laptop from Vista to XP it was missing one driver, but I was able to get a driver to work from Toshiba or Dell (I forget which).
