Go to new egg there is 80 reviews all the people have been able to unlock the pipes on the BFG 6800 GS. But, I dont want to fight over that. Is there anything you can think of why Im getting bad benchmarks? Do i have to reformat of flash the bios or something??

Yes YOU CAN UNLOCK THE PIPES ON A BFG 6800GS BECAUSE THIS IS AN AGP MODEL BUILT ON THE NV40 DESIGN OF THE AGP 6800GT AND ULTRA (i.e. 16 pipe architecture).

The driver support for the GS is woeful at present, I presume you are using the 82.12 beta drivers that came on the CD - these are the most up to date and it would appear that no WHQL drivers remains available. Unless you have another conflict going on (is your PSU giving it enough juice for instance?) I can only suggest keeping an eye out for new drivers and trying those. Are you positive the extra pipes are working ok - I mean did they have a positive influence on your benchmarks and real world performance?
The idle temp you indicate is not unusual on these cards and in my moderately ventilated system my BFG 6800GS idles at 58C but at load doesn't go much over 62C. Check the nvidia and other forums for your mobo as there are a number of conflicts between mobo chipsets and the recent nvidia drivers on the 6 series cards - AMD 76x series and nforce3 all have issues reported. Were you previously running older nvidia drivers?

5255 is great...Probably what you're worried about is that there are 10000 scores showing up under the same gs name. It's just that they're running sli...that's all. It doesn't say it's running sli, but it is...anything above 7000 with a 6800gt, gs, ultra...is in sli.

The only problem I have is I cant seem to oc my card. Is it do to the drivers? the only drivers out right now are the beta. Do beta driver stop you from overclocking? other than that im pleased with the card
