Bsod's help plz

Hello,

I have been attempting to build up a spare computer and i am stuck at the windows installation. I get about 75% through the installation phase then it stops and i get a BSOD saying attempting to reset display driver and recover from timeout failed.

Any ideas of what could be causing this? I have read that mainly this issue is caused by outdated drivers. Could it be a faulty bit of hardware? Like my hdd or motherboard or something

Hey again,

This computer is built from left over parts i have accumulated from upgrading my main PC. Currently i am running :

Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-965P-S3
CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo E6300
RAM - DDR2 Kingston KVR 4gb (kit of 2)
HDD - Samsung SP2014N 200gb
GPU - Geforce 7600GS
PSU - Antec EA-650, 650w

Try installing windows without the Video card, use MOBO video. Thats my only idea. sorry
