Been given an 1 gig Athlon machine which is on an old KT7 board which uses PC100. Recently purchased a KX7-333 board as well which can of course take DDR.

So the question is simple 1Gig of PC100 (2 x 512) against 512 of PC2100(2 x 256) DDR which i have lying around ?.

Thanks for coming back.

No, not even PC133.

The Athlon is a 10 x 100.

I will swap the chip over onto the KX7 and fit it out with the DDR.

As its only going to be for surfing, I'll leave it at 512M.
