fiddly thermaltake

i own 3 different thermaltake cases now but dont under stand the reason for the firewire and speaker/mic top panel cables to all be seperate wires.
its a pain in the arse plugging them in. why dont they come as one bunched together like the usb ones are?

oh and while im moning, what the heck are those 2 little doors for on the armour case?

I don't believe that motherboard connections for 1394 and sound/mic are standardized like USB connections. In other words, every motherboard manufacturer probably has a different pin out for sound/mic and maybe even firewire.
