changing mobo

I have 8GPNXP Duo (Gigabyte) and i'm thinking to change it with ABIT MGuru FATALITY AW8 MAX (955x express chipset) , i think it's a nice one. What do you think about abit? Should i change it or should i just keep the one i already have?

What chipset is on your current mb?

(The thought of wasting a good mb for potentially a .5% performance gain...pains me!)

Chipset is 915P. So you think abit wont make any difference?

If you have the 915 currently and are switching to the 955X then yes, you will see performance gains considerably. Intels X series chips are designed for performance and they perform well.

Thanks for the reply. I also want to ask if mguru will allow the same OCing with the gigabyte. I've heard that mguru manages the performance of the CPU depending on how much the PC needs at this time, is that true?
Are there any other mobos better than this abit witch I can buy with the same money and give me more performance? If yes can you please name them?
