yes, 5000+ seems to be nice but the price would not be so nice.

I hope the prices wont be too insane, cause I'm doing my first build as soon as AM2 and DX10 cards come out with nVidia's new chipset

oooh.. yeah.. dx10 is a must have ;)

looking foward to Crysis from Crytek-ubisoft

Does this mean AMD is naming processors after major cities in Australia :P

Sempron 3800+-now that's what i call a budget CPU(though it could have used mor cache)
Still, not impressed till ther reach the 3 Ghz barrier.

I think the 4800+ (2.4GHz, 1MB x 2) is the champ of the coming chips...

ya,
What is nVidia's new chipset?
What comes after the nForce4 ??

thanks.

Sempron is supposed to suck, just as the Cel/Cel-D :) They are great overclockers though.. I have a Cel. D 3.06@3.8 and other people with proper cooling has them going up to 4.2 on air ;)

I am pretty sure amd could make a cpu running 3ghz anytime, they are just holding back on us :) saving energy for competition and making money on whats already out since a 3ghz 6000+ w. 1mb/5800+ w. 512kb would make the rest of the productline weak and uninteresting
