Well again a new thread. But now it is $1750 budget. If you did't see my other threads I am building my first PC. It is gonna be a gaming rig that has to last me a while without upgrading. Do not include a moniter, mouse, keyboard, speakers, or optical drive, I have those from my last computer. Lastly I am only buying from newegg, no exceptions. So here is the list, I will keep it updated as I make revisions.

Revision 1 Edits
There is nothing there yet because I am not sure what to do with $1750.

Revision 2 Edits
Added everything.

Revision 3
The more I thought about it the more worried I got. I did not want to build my PC only to have the PSU not be good enough. SO I cut back on some stuff and got a good PSU.

Revision 4
Tweaked some things.

If we build another thread to support your new $1750 budget that will get revised 10 times, by the time you get that one right, you'll have your hands on another 250 and round out another thread for 2k budget. I say go with the 1500 build and spend the other 250 on beer 8)

But with all seriousness, just keep waiting to build... it seems to be the trend lately... I mean atleast wait for the 7900s so you can slap one of those in your machine, its only another 3months or so out. Just think by then you can up your budget some more too! Woohoo new budget and computer by waiting just a little bit longer. Kill 2 birds with one stone...

Yeah...

haha nice idea... but if ur inpatient like me and cant wait 3 months get

amd x2 4400
2 gb corsair value
asus mobo
x1900xtx

i duno what the exact price is but thats around 1100-1200? well under ur budget... add HD for about 100, psu for another 100, dont skimp on psu, get a case thats also around 100, anything close to 200 is a waste of money (to me) to be spending on a case... and if u get ur budget up a bit more before u order, xfire that x1900xtx and ull have a sick gaming rig

All good man, what I would do is look at your 1500 build and see what you could upgrade from there to stay under your new 1750 build. So that way you do start from scratch and have 5 revisions again, since you know your other build is top notch for that budget.

That leaves you with ~$90 bucks to play with. Those were just suggestions/ideas on what you could do instead of redoing an entire build from scratch. A starting point for ya if ya want

(build taken from your other thread)

yea, 250 bux isnt a huge deal, upgrade to the next best video card or whatever theres really no reason to start a new thread because some1 dropped there wallet with 250 bux in it... if ur 1500 dollar build had a 7800gt, consider going sli... good use of ur 250

Maybe someone should post a sticky listing great builds at $500 increments starting at $500 updating them every one or two months. Well THG has a $500 rig article but you get the idea.

very good comp for the price, although like i said spending 200 on a case is way too much for me.. but if ur gonna use the psu its all good since a decent case is 100 and a decent psu is 100... so id add that to my cart and stop delaying

Buy the computer now.. It'll soon be outdated if you keep posting for info!!!
You guys think it is bad now. Just wait till I build the thing. Imagine all the questions then, lol. Seriously though I want to ge the best possible pc I can get for my budget. I can't buy it now because I don't have the money. I have to raise 100 dollars still. But I will be buying in like a couple of weeks.

I'll bet there'll be a few more revisions by the time you have everything ready to go.

I bet there will be too, why do I find enjoyment in making fun of my self? lol

Edit I just found this on newegg about the 1900XTX."30 Amps on 12 volt rail recommended (assumes fully loaded system)."Do you think the 26a will be ok?

ok this is how i would do it

garb one of these

and grab a x1900xt with a cheaper nf4 ultra board.

and try to fit a lian-li case into that budget and you will be alot happier with your new comp.

I don't know how I could fit another 350 in my budget. I really don't want to skimp on the hardwre to get a big screen, although it is nice.I ask again, has anyone evre heard of this power supply. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817159026.
ALso can anyone find the XG Dragon cheaper without the PSU. I love that case!!!!!!!!!!!.

Edit: I am not sure why it is not linking directly to the item but it is the $71 one.

without a nice screen theres no point to a nice graphics card because it will make you play youre games at lower res and youre eyes will start to hurt if you have a 17, trust me

i say go with a 165
2gb gskill and a x1900xt and see how much you have left you can prbaly cut that down to 1300

Even with all that done I still couldn't fit a 200 + dollar moniter in. I think I still might do all of those changes though. Then I would get a sick mouse and keyboard, and an ok speaker set.

I hate to sound like a grumpy old man, but why can't people work these builds out on their own? I sure as hell didn't ask any advice on what I bought and when I bought it... who better to spend my money than ME?

exactly. i ask for help sometimes but its usually more than just basic shit.. cpet with my video card i didnt know anything about an x700 so i asked around, turns out its slower than a 6600gt... but thats ok i still bought it. its funny how people who are totally oblivious to computers ask for help in buying parts, just imagine them trying to put it together! :)

Dude that case is the ugliest case for the money... why not get something sleeker?

Antec P 180

yeah, I know everyone has the case (including me) but its an awesome VERY quiet case.

And for god's sake please get a nice PSU like the Enermax Noisetaker -- which I also own.

The Video card is the only thing I dont at least have some doubts about -- the x1900xt is awesome.

That said, you know that Nvidias next card is half a month away, right?
Thats why I dont have a x1900xt -- wanna see what Nvidia does.

haha i for 1 didnt :) but i didnt come running to forums asking for "suggestions on good agp card to go with my amd duron 900mhz" and thinking that a 6800gt will be the best idea :p... but hey! bottoms up!
