Weird Stock fan

Hi ,

I got the new Pen 4 631 Cedar Mill and installed it into a ASUS P5LD2
A few days ago. At first the Stock Intel Fan ran fast at 3500 RPM, without using the "Q-Fan" or "AI Quiet" functions. Now after a few days when starting the PC the fan is stuck at 2500 RPM and won't go faster like it use to.

What could be a reason for this?

Make sure the fan is still tight to the chip. The holddowns are crappy, and tend to slip. A good aftermarket fan is recommended.
