need help picking a board for new computer

im looking for a nf4 ultra board that overclocks great.. looking to try to hit 3.0 or so with my opt 148.. i know dfi ultra-d board is a great overclocker... but then agen im not too overclocking oriented to mess with that board with my previous experience with that exact board with a 3800 x2..

Is updating the Epox bios a necessity?
