I decided to go on opteron with tyan mother-board but i don't know whitch of 275 or 875 to buy ?

Is it any difference betwen these 2 except that 275 goes up to 2 processors, and 875 up to 8 ?!

unless your pockets are immensly deep, i would go for the 2xx series.

money is not an issue, but still i'm not going to buy something that it does not make its money.

Indeed, they are the same 2.2 G/1Mb L2 cache (per core) daul core processors, although you will pay 2 or 3 times as much for processors certified for 8 way operation (8xx series)...

In a 2 processor config (4 cores total), the 2xx series and 8xx series will offer identical performance..

so there is no difference between the performance in a 2 way arhitecture.
Thank you
