Just to adjust a clerical error, and some comments.
Of course, it's nForce4 (I got the 4 right).
Shame on the nVidia engineers for making this installation transition a complete mess. Their inf file doesn't tell XP how to install the Sata driver properly, within the Sata raid folder. And, they haven't gotten the drivers "signed" yet; so the install process doesn't trust them - and substitutes xp-ide drivers.
The inf from the Legacy folder does. What idiot figured that that would work?
Thanks to a student by the name of Dino Nuhagic (nuhi) of "nLite" fame, and Fernando 1, from MSFN, for working through nVidias incompetency on this.
