Well, I've been reading numerous reviews and benchmarks graphs etc., and it appears that what I planned on doing (gaming, mainly) wouldn't be very benefited by RAID 0. Although it would be a slight performance increase, it wouldn't be worth the cost.
So, I am curious, what is the next best thing? Is it possible to buy a 36 GB WD drive (the 10k rpm one) and use that to boot and other things, while putting my pictures and other stuff on a seperate, slower drive?
Insight and ideas are quite welcome.
Thanks,
-Tony

haha
e-penises...
yeah, im just wondering if it's only like a millisecond difference or something or NOTICEABLE amount of time. because if it's not too noticeable then it's no big deal. here i am thinking it'll be like 'OMG I JUST CLICKED PLAY AND IT LOADED IN .2 SECONDS!'
:-/

So is WD still a good brand for that? or do we all have different HDD allegiances?

The raid is not really that great when it comes to cost. So what if others can boot their pc in 10 seconds, they still end up getting slaughtered in BF2. I have a 74Gb WD Raptor 10,000rpm its good enough for me. I'm gonna get a cheap hd for storage.
