agp voltage

card 6800 (asus v9999/td)
mobo asus a7v880

in my bios if i leave my agp reference voltage on auto, it is set to 1.7v
i thought that it was ment to be 1.5v
i can turn it down to 1.5 but then things start to get unstable?
easyest thing to do is leave it at 1.7 i suppose but i'm sure that aint right?

It might be set to 1.7 near the output side of the regulator circuit, and be effectively 1.5V at the cards input, as intended...

It's not uncommon in basic DC circuits to see different readings at various points that appear electrically the same...

I'd leave it where it is.....

u would need a voltage probe on some sort...
