It seems like the more I read, the more confused I get in regards to which memory series to get. I'm pairing it up with the DFI Lanparty UT Ultra D motherboard. I plan on doing some moderate overclocking, and eventually some heavy overclocking when the system seems like it's getting slow to run the current programs (games).

I am leaning heavily towards the Dual Channel Platinum (OCZ4002048ELDCPE-K) as it seems to fill my needs as far as specs are concerned and the price is reasonable and what my plans are. It just sometimes gets confusing, when I start reading and find articles like the EL Gold XTC is great, handles heat, OC better....etc. But isn't Platinum higher than gold?

Then I see some people using the non-dual channel specified modules in dual channel mode and it OC's better. Don't remember where I read it, but I see another article with memory comparisons, and the higher latency module outperformed the lower latency modules at stock and OC'ing. Can you see why I'm getting confused?

I would like to hear some of your thoughts on the below selections. I've narrowed it down to OCZ as that is the brand I was going to get. The below selections are all within a $15 price difference.

2GB (2 pcs 1GB) DDR (400) PC-3200 OCZ Dual-Channel (OCZ4002048PFDC-K)

2GB (2 pcs 1GB) DDR (400) PC-3200 OCZ Dual Channel Platinum (OCZ4002048ELDCPE-K)

2GB (2 pcs 1GB) DDR PC-3200 (400) OCZ Titanium (OCZ4002048ELDCTE-K)

2GB (2 pcs 1GB) DDR (500) PC-4000 OCZ Gold (OCZ5002048ELGE-K)

2GB (2 X 1024) DDR (500) PC-4000 OCZ EL Gold Gamer Ext. XTC (OCZ5002048ELGEGXT-K)

Thanks for your help.
