Every computer I've owned has been handed down after a year or two of use. I just got some money, so I really wanna get a new computer. My budget is $950, $1000 TOPS. I'm sure it's enough to get something decent, but I just don't have $1200+ for a little box.
I was gonna go with the 7800GT and AMD 64 3200+ to start, but a few people told me that that would cause bottlenecking. Any suggestions on builds, help?
no socket 939 proc will bottle neck anything why you ask cause the 939 procs all have integrated mem controller's fast fsb ht link is 2000mhz one way and 1000 mhz both way's! and since pci-e 16 travels at 1533 mhz so it's no prob really.
I hardly think that there will be any bottlenecking. 3200+ w/ 7800GT is a very nice setup.
I'd go for at least 1gb of RAM, and a nForce4 motherboard.
I agree this is a good setup. There is always some bottle necking, you just try to minimize it. Within you budget restraints this is problably the best you can do... 1 gig of RAM and use a 7200 rpm hdd with 8mb of cache.
with that rig it is neat..and since ur focusing on WoW, u won't lag..but will still depend on ur connection 8) ..othen than that it's a neat rig! can i have it??
