OE password probs

Unable to logon to the server using Secure Password
Authentication. Account: 'getmail.garrett.net ',
Server: 'localhost', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-
ERR login first', Port: 38445, Secure(SSL): No, Server
Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC18

I've changed nothing but now I'm getting this error and
can't recieve email. Can you help?
