Slow download speeds??

I just upgraded to windows 7 64 from windows xp 32 and I am enjoying almost every aspect to that upgrade.

The biggest question I have at this point relates to the internet. I have a 15mbps/1mbps connection and before today usually had between 1 and 2 MBps download speed. I downloaded from a site I usually get HD movie trailers and that would get a 100MB+ file in about a minute. Now it is crawling about at between 50KBps and 200 KBps. Is there anything I need to install or change to make sure the PC recognizes my bandwidth?

Try 64-bit version of Internet Explorer, click Start, and then click Internet Explorer (64-bit)


Also try out Firefox , you might like it.

I am using Firefox and already tried it in IE. Same results.

Try Windows 7 Manager by YamicSoft and optimise it manually from there...

Have you ensured you have all drivers installed with the latested updates as well as properly configured? Also, should you require additional assistance Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 Support Forum located here http://tinyurl.com/9fhdl5. It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to check the threads there for additional support.
