Might as well be honest. I'm a lazy slob. I just don't clean my house unless I have company coming over, and I never have company over. I will however sometimes condescend to cleaning my pc of cat hair so it doesn't burn up from lack of airflow. Anyway I'm looking for a hair/dust resistant case or another solution to the dust and stuff that tends to get into my computer. I would consider a water-cooled solution to be perfect if it could be swung for like $200 including the case and PSU. Any ideas?
Get a filter for you case fan but that would restrict the airflow just a little. It's not gonna hurt you to clean you pc one a month or kick your cat away from your pc. Watercooling is a good solution to heat but not to dust and you still need to clean your pc anyways.
I was reading one of the consumer reviews for this super lanboy and the dude was saying he took out the front fan and put in a brillo pad impregnated with wd-40 in it's place to catch dust. That got me thinking, there must be a case designed for this problem. One that already has good easily cleanable screens. Like those high performance washable K & N filters for my car that gave me 5 easy hp for cheap.
Oh and kicking my cat is not an option! Don't make me call PETA down on your ass.
Just kidding about the pet. Anyways the case looks cool though but with pc that can filter dust you have to consider the air circulation. Its good to have an almost dust free but with poor air circulation, heat would be a more threat to your pc rather than dust. So if you get this case and water cool it then that should solve your problem but that doesn't mean you don't have to clean your system again.
Wow, I've never seen that case before. That is pretty cool with that creativity to put a plastic fish aquarium. And yes it can be use for a coolant storage/tank as well. Just use a dremel and punch two hole one on top and the other on the bottom. Then hook up the coupler, say 1/2" tube connector and apply glue then silicon. That would be one of a kind!
Warning: Your cat might attack your fake fish and break the tank!
Finaly a post I can share my knowledge with. Yes, panty hose will work good but you have to stretch it a fair amount of it'll restrict airflow quite alot. I used an air filter from a air conditioner and it warks the same as the panty hose, have to stretch it out. Sure a litle bit of dust will travel through the micro hole's, but it's better then having a major dust build up.
Also cat hair will diff. clog the filter's so buy a couple can's of compressed air so you can blow it out in the oppisite direction that the fan is blowing. When it's off of course. And make sure that you hold the fan blades cuz if they spin faster then there sposed to it can cause damage to the motor.
PETA has killed almost as many animals as Stalin did people.
Say what? Are you sure you aren't thinking of the SPCA or the Humane Society? PETA = people for the ethical treatment of animals. Not only do they not kill animals, they militantly deface animal products (like fur/leather coats) to highlight thier cause. That cause is the ethical treatment of animals, i.e. not killing them for science or fur coats. When did they kill animals?

@ IRanNaked: thanks alot buddy, I'll try it.
Ummm PETA= People Eating Tasty Animals. Sorry dude.
Shoot the cat. Cats are not tasty so Ive been told.
Use money saved on kiity litter, food and vet bills to buy a new case.
